Wicklow Dementia Support
The main objective for which this company is established is; to provide support to people with dementia in Co. Wicklow to enable them to maintain their identity, interests and independence, living life to the fullest in their own home and community, while also meeting the needs of family carers for social engagement, information and respite.
We rely on a team of trained,Garda vetted and supported volunteers to implement our befriending programmeme (AlzPals), Meet and Eating (nutritional and social eating programmeme), social clubs, carer support groups and weekly Musical Memories sessions.
Our working area has expanded since we started as a charity in 2010. We now cover from North Wicklow to Arklow along the corridor east of the mountains, separating he area from West Wicklow.
We are always seeking new volunteers for a variety of roles, including fund-raising. To find out more, please contact us
